Who doesn't love a milkshake, especially an accidental one! I was making some chocolate covered nut balls, which I have done before, but tried something slightly different and it just failed! They weren't terrible, but they were not great. So, I am heading back to the drawing board with those. The interior of them was dry and crumbly.

However, what started out as a disappointment became a "wow that's tasty" when I wasn't sure what to do with the left-over melted chocolate in the double boiler, SO, if you are ever in a situation like that, DO THIS!

Ingredients

1/4 cup cashew pieces, ours are super soft and creamy, and require no soaking at all
1 1/2 Tbsp chocolate sauce - I used our chocolate chips that I had melted in the double boiler
2 dates, our dates are delicious here
1/2 tsp vanilla, or 1/4 tsp vanilla bean powder

Liquid:
1/4 to 1/2 cup water, or other liquid of choice; a customer said she used some left-over coffee, which sounds great to me! Note that if you have a high-powered blender, you can use even less liquid and the ice cubes will completely pulverize and make for an extra thick shake. We use a Vitamix, which makes the job easy!
4 - 5 ice cubes - more or less as needed.

Directions

Place all ingredients in the blender and blend on high until the ice is fully crushed and blended. I topped with some vanilla bean powder, and a few chopped pistachios, neither of which are necessary, but make for a bit more texture and taste sensation. Enjoy.
