FAQ

We cover the most commonly asked questions here but feel free to contact us if your questions haven't been answered.

Are all of your nuts and seeds organic?

All our products are either certified organic or organically grown but not certified. Certification is extremely expensive and can be cost prohibitive for smaller farmers.

Are they raw, pasteurized or irradiated??

All our products are either raw or sprouted (which means they have been soaked and dehydrated). There is no irradiation. Nothing is pasteurized. Our berries are dried at low temperatures to prevent mould.

Are your products gluten, peanut and soy-free?

Yes, all of our products are gluten, peanut and soy free. We are not a "certified gluten or peanut free" facility, but we only purchase products that are, as we mostly buy direct from farms. Certificates from farmers/suppliers can be provided upon request.

Is there cross-contamination between products?

While we do our best to sanitize our space between the bagging of each product, there is always the possibility of cross-contamination. With the sprouted products it is even more difficult to do as they are placed in the dehydration unit.

To absolutely guarantee no cross-contamination purchasing the full box size is recommended.

How should I store my nuts and seeds?

Except for the dried berries we recommend that all of our foods be refrigerated to preserve taste and keep them fresh.

Do you have a storefront? Can I pick up my order to save on shipping?

We have a production space at 1664 Renfrew in East Vancouver. Once you have made an online order you will be sent an email confirming your order with a link detailing how to schedule a pick up. We are usually at our facility Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 2.30 PM. Outside of those times we will make alternate arrangements with you for pick up.

Can I bring my own containers to be filled?

Yes! If you follow this link it will give you all the information needed for you to do so.

Do you ship for free?

There is really no such thing as free shipping, when companies offer "free shipping" they are adding the cost of shipping into the cost of their products. We choose to keep our products as affordable as possible and instead show you the true shipping costs. Shipping an extra 5 or 10 pounds only costs slightly more – so making larger less frequent orders can be more economical than smaller more frequent orders. More information on shipping, and a shipping calculator here.

How long will my order take to be shipped?

We ship our orders out as quickly as possible, but it may take a few days for orders to leave our warehouse. Contact us if you need more specifics on the time frame of your order.
Once your order is with the shipping carriers it is out of our control. We cannot guarantee delivery times and are not responsible for delays.

Do you ship outside of Canada?

We are now shipping anywhere in Canada and the United States. All prices on the website are in Canadian dollars.

Will my nuts stay fresh during shipping?

Since nuts come from hot climates they have all spent some time unrefrigerated during processing and shipping. This is inevitable and it is also not a big deal, because this short period of unrefrigerated time during shipping will do very little to the quality of your nuts. As far as we know we are the only company that offers refrigerated nuts and seeds, so even with the unrefrigerated shipping, your nuts will still be the freshest available on the market.
