Do we need more recipes with chocolate in them? That's a bit of a rhetorical question. These are absolutely delicious, chewy, moist and chocolatey. Even our "I don't like almond flour or any nuts at all" teenager likes them. They are adapted to make them gluten free from a recipe on Insta by "Amandaducks"
Makes 9 brownies

Ingredients:
   •.11 g or 2 TBSP flax meal
   • 1/4 cup water
   • 160 g or 3/4 cup tahini
   • 1/4 cup maple syrup
   • 75 g  or 1/2 cup brown sugar
   • 1 tsp vanilla extract
   • 60 g 70% chocolate wafers melted in double boiler, – about 20 wafers)
   • 30 g or 1/3 cup almond flour
   • 14 g or 2 TBSP tapioca flour
   • 35 g or 1/3 cup cocoa powder

   • 1 tsp baking soda
   • Pinch of salt
   • 40 g about 1/4 cup 55% semisweet chocolate chips
   • Flake salt if you like for the top

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 340°F
Line a small square baking pan (20cm x 20cm) with baking paper
2. Add flax meal and water to a mixing bowl and combine well. Let sit for a few minutes. Add tahini, maple syrup, brown sugar and vanilla and stir well to combine until smooth
3. Melt chocolate wafers and add to the mixture and combine well.
4. Add almond flour, tapioca flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well, using your hands if necessary.
5. Transfer the batter to the prepare baking tin. Press down evenly. I find using a silicon spatula to be the absolute best at getting it in the pan. Add the 40g chocolate chips with your hands, sprinkling on top of the batter.
Sprinkle with extra salt, if desired. Place into the oven to bake for 18 minutes.
6. Remove the brownies from the oven, leave to cool completely in the baking pan. Then, transfer to a flat surface and cut into 9 pieces.
Enjoy.
