This is the traditional "gatorade" before commercial drinks were made. Aztecs drank it thousands of years before we existed. Perfect for long haul cardio workouts or post training replenishment.
2 cups of water or coconut water
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of lemon or lime juice
1 tsp of sweetener: honey, maple syrup, agave
optional: I love adding in ginger &/or goji berries but that is not the traditional method...
Put the chia into the water and let sit for 10 minutes stirring well to combine.
