Macadamia Nuts

These certified organic macadamia nuts are grown on a family farm in Kona, Hawaii. They undergo a process where they are shelled and then dehydrated right after harvest. This ensures quality and enhances sweetness and shelf life.

We are happy to have a source for certified organic nuts out of Hawaii. It helps us to maintain our commitment to providing you with nuts where WE KNOW the farmers and their values.

Because of how macadamias are harvested - the nuts fall to the ground and are then gathered up every few days, they are more prone to contact with bacteria etc, (this is why many macadamia nuts are roasted to kill pathogens). Many companies will say that their nuts are raw, but most go through a low heat stage to ensure that these pathogens are destroyed. We choose to use a farm that dehydrates their nuts at low temperatures, high enough to kill pathogens, but low enough to still maintain their nutrients.
